Rice paper is sligthly translucent, strong and absorbant. Frequently associated with Sumi-e drawing, this versitile paper is a delight for tecniques that include heavy water usage like marbling and dyeing. The texture adds interest to collage works and the translucence allow your art to literally shine when used in lampshade or room dividers.
Manufactured in Japan, these traditional rice papers are made from (Kozo) mulberry fibers. Hosho style includes sizing. Plain kozo does not include sizing.
